Pastor David A. Williams

 



David A. Williams embodies a legacy of faith and service, nurtured within the loving embrace of a Christian home. His parents, Dr. Peter F. and Sis. Brenda Ann Williams diligently taught him the Word of God and at the tender age of six, he embraced Christ as his savior and was baptized.

His academic pursuits led him to acquire a bachelor's degree in Business Management from the esteemed Hampton University, followed by a Master of Public Administration from National Louis University in Chicago where he met his wife, India, with whom he shares the joy of raising five remarkable children. Among his accolades, Reverend Williams proudly stands as a member of the prestigious Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, a testament to his commitment to excellence and community upliftment.

Ordained and licensed under the guidance of his pastors and mentors, Rev. Williams" journey as a minister began at St. Paul Baptist Church in Freeport, IL, under the wise tutelage of his father. His ferver for spreading the Gospel saw him ordained as a Baptist minister at Morning Star Baptist Church of Kankakee, Illinois, under the esteemed leadership of Rev. C. Ramont Morris. Currently, he is honored to serve as the interim pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois, following the footsteps of his esteemed pastor, Dr. Rogers W. Jackson and Rev. L.K. Curry, Pastor Emeritus.

A devoted steward of God's Word, David's dedication to ministry spans over a decade, catering to the spiritual nourishment of children, youth, and young adults. His impact extends far beyond the confined of his local church, as evidenced by his involvement in various leadership roles within the National Baptist General State Convention of Illinois, exemplifying his commitment to nurturing the next generation of believers.

Passionate and resolute, Reverend Williams sees the Gospel not merely as a message but as a transformative force that can mend broken hearts and communities. He believes fervently that through the empowerement of the Holy Spirit, lives can be changed, neighborhoods restored, and communities revived.
